Trekant Chair

Hand built and designed in Copenhagen, Denmark this flat packed, bamboo plywood chair takes inspiration form Danish designs. Inspired by canvases falling and layers supporting one another the Trekant chair was designed as a timeless, yet modern chair relying on each piece to support the rest. This studio was completely focused on hand drafting as well as hand creating. Throughout the semester we visited famous furniture factories around Sweden and Denmark learning about the processes of furniture design and the importance of long lasting quality and taste. I feel in love with the process of the woodshop and found the importance of working by hand before looking into mass productions. However this chair could easily be produced using a CNC machine.
