FLWR

This project is focused on utilizing digital fabrication tools combined with parametric modeling skills. I used grasshopper and the laser cut bed. Organic and flowing shapes inspired this design with alternating 5 and 7 sided flowers which results in a wavy shade which can be hung or placed on a shelf or table. It is made from MDF, acrylic, curtain cord, and wooden beads. The other focus for this luminaire was to nest the pieces within one another to prevent materials being thrown away. The FLWR brings a playful, organic element into any room.
